As part of the New Jersey Geographic Information Network, Mercer County has launched an
internet map server that contains the newly created parcel data for all the municipalities
in Mercer. By connecting
to www.njgin-mercercounty.org
with a web browser, you can browse and query the parcel data interactively. We have also added
the Mercer parcels to our interactive maps.
If you have ArcGIS software, you can also
connect to the county's server and access the data through ArcIMS feature services,
and use the data live from the server as a layer in ArcMap.
The county is also working on providing shapefiles for download, but that part of
their service is not yet ready. So in the mean time, we are making shapefiles available
here on our server. The county has specified that these files are for public use.
These shapefiles were created by exporting the data from the
ArcIMS feature service on the county site. (Some minor edits were also made;
these are noted in the metadata.) Complete metadata is not yet available from the county;
it will be added to these shapefiles when it comes available. In the mean time, questions
about the data sets should be directed to the Mercer County Planning Division.
To download a shapefile, select from the list below.
Each town's shapefile is stored here in a zip format; you will need zip software to
extract them. For more information about zip software, see our
tools page.
We also now have
road centerlines for Mercer County, in a zipped shapefile. (5.3 MB)
